The Foundation Behind Every Great Bull
Built through disciplined selection, proven longevity, and a commitment to producing cattle that perform generation after generation.
At Spring Valley Ranch, exceptional bulls begin with exceptional females.
Our donor and foundation cow herd represents decades of intentional genetic progress, built around the traits that matter most: maternal strength, structural integrity, disposition, fertility, and long-term productivity.
These females are more than pedigree pieces.
They are the proven foundation behind the cattle we stand behind today.
Built Cow by Cow
For more than 30 years, our program has been shaped through disciplined selection and a simple belief:
The strength of any cattle program begins with its females.
Every donor and foundation female in our herd has earned her place through performance, longevity, consistency, and the ability to produce cattle that deliver real-world value.
We aren’t chasing short-term trends or making decisions for a single sale season. We’re building maternal lines designed to strengthen our program—and the programs of the producers who trust our genetics.
Nationally Relevant Donor Females
The donor females at Spring Valley Ranch represent genetics that continue to shape our herd and influence cattle programs well beyond our ranch.

DOB: 08/22/2013M6 Ms Cool Jewel 380 is a foundational donor female in the Spring Valley Ranches program and is still producing at 13 years of age. With more than 40 registered progeny, she adds an extra punch of thickness and muscle and has worked with every bull we have bred her to. M6 New Germaine 5150
Registration No: EF1220839
DOB: 11/7/2015M6 New Germaine 5150 is another important donor female within the Spring Valley Ranches program and has consistently contributed genetics to our herd. Her influence can be seen through multiple sons and daughters retained by SVR, including progeny sired by Stealth, Patriot, and Fink 1625. She comes from a cow family we know well, as the daughter of M6 Cool Germain 1145 and the sister of the famous M6 New Germaine 484. She represents the kind of productive, proven female foundation we want to build around for the long term.
Legacy Females
Some cows earn more than a place in the pasture.
They earn a permanent place in the story of a program.
They may not be as nationally relevant as the donors above, but their impact within our herd makes them and their story important and relevant to our customers. These legacy females represent the consistency, longevity, and maternal excellence that continue to define Spring Valley Ranch.

Dorothy
Registration No: F861792
DOB: 09/14/1999She is the quintessential “Legacy Cow,” going all the way back to Tyson’s show career in the early 2000s. She helped him win the Intermediate Showmanship contest at the 2001 Junior Nationals, where his sister placed reserve that same day. Her real value came after the show ring. She raised multiple calves and was eventually flushed, producing a set of herd bulls that established the sound maternal cowherd we built through the late 2000s and much of the 2010s.

421P
Registration No: F1007736
DOB: 03/20/2004421P is another Legacy Cow in our program, and she produced for SVR through her 14th birthday. She hails back to our earliest Camp Cooley and Butler purchases, from when we first stepped into the registered operation. Fertility runs high in her cow family, and she made 21 embryos on her first flush at 12 years of age. We continue to keep her daughters for their high feed efficiency and easy-keeping nature.
The Future Starts Here
Every bull we raise, every mating we make, and every decision we take begins with one question:
Will this strengthen the cow herd?
Because at Spring Valley Ranch, we believe better cattle begin with better females.
And building a stronger future starts with protecting the foundation that made it possible.
